Benefits of Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid on skin

Hello my beauties......
It's another wintery Sunday, and time for one more blogpost on skincare.
Taking forward last week's topic, I will be sharing information about the latest, trending and super effective skincare ingredients.
As the winter season is on, and no matter what, we all need that warmth of sunshine to beat the winter blues.
Soaking up ample dose of Vit. D, in chilly, cold winters, one can't help from being greedy and savour the golden glow that sun brings with it, everyday.
And staying days out, under the sun definitely weighs down our skin.
Apart from sun damage, there are various factors responsible for an uneven skin tone, like hormonal imbalance, family tree (genetics), side-effects of medication, process of ageing or even stress of any kind, can give you skin related issues, like hyperpigmentation and uneventone.
So without wasting much time, let's take up this week's magical potions for the skin :
#ALPHA ARBUTIN - In recent years, the cosmetic industry has come up with an ingredient that works to remove the extra melanin accumulating at specific points in your skin, and this ingredient is called Alpha Arbutin.
This is a naturally occurring derivative of Hydroquinone, extracted from several plant species.
Alpha Arbutin inhibits Tyrosinase, an enzyme that helps with melanin production.
It's active component is released slowly, making it less irritating than other skin-lightening agents, and suitable for sensitive skin as well.
Because it's gentle, it can be used in combination with other skin-lightening ingredients like chemical-peels and retinols.
It is surprising that Alpha Arbutin is found in most skincare creams, at the same time it is a superstar ingredient when it comes to overnight mask and water creams.
Best results are obtained when mixed with other ingredients that offer similar brightening effects, like Vit. C and AHA.
So, in short, it is an excellent, safe and effective skin-brightening ingredient.
*PBP anti-ageing cream has 2% Alpha Arbutin.
#NIACINAMIDE - This is a stable vitamin (Vitamin B3), that offers a wide range of skin benefits.
Niacinamide helps in building Keratin, a type of protein that keeps skin firm and healthy.
Hence, it supports the skin barrier (outer surface of skin) and increases its resiliency.
Let's list out it's benefits for skin -
•Brightens the skin.
•Reduces signs of ageing, by minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.
•Reduces acne.
•Minimizes redness and blotchiness.
•Lipid barrier.
•Minimizes the pore appearances.
•Regulates oil.
•Protects against sun damage.
•Treats hyperpigmentation.
It can be used twice a day, and when using it's good to combine it with other stable and powerful antioxidants such as Camellia Sinensis (green-tea)Catechins, Quercetin and Tocopherol.
*PBP Nightcream Moonstruck has got this super effective ingredient, called Niacinamide.
#HYALURONIC ACID - This is a humectant, a viscous clear substance which has two salt forms, Sodium Hyaluronate and Potassium Hyaluronate.
As the name suggests, sodium hyaluronate is a sodium salt version.
It is important to know this, as it changes how the substance affects the skin.
Sodium Hyaluronate is a part of Hyaluronic Acid, which can be extracted and used seperately.
The difference comes down to molecular weight.
HA has a high molecular weight, which means it's macromolecular.
The large molecules coat the skin and prevent water loss, leading to better hydration.
Sodium Hyaluronate has a lower molecular weight than HA.
Because of this, it is able to penetrate the epidermis, the top layer of skin, which in turn improves the hydration from underlying skin layers.
Sodium Hyaluronate is also hydrophilic, which means it mixes easily with water.
When applied topically it attracts moisture in skin cells, providing hydration and removing dryness and flakiness.
Compared to high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate can provide a greater hydrating effect.
It is safe to use, and can be applied on skin, daily twice, in concentration upto 2%.
It's benefits are :
Replenishes the skin by improving hydration, holds the moisture and truly an iconic ingredient when it comes in waging a war against stressors like pollution, and other environmental toxins affecting skin, wrinkles, fine lines, blemishes and chronic dryness.
Below are PBP skincare range products having this most magnificently hydrating ingredient :
*PBP Aloe Moisture Surge
*PBP Fruit Tonic
*PBP Morning star Day Cream
*PBP Vit. C Serum
*PBP Rose Moisturizer
So, these are few incredible ingredients, which gives miraculous results, when used religiously, in the right way.
And time to wrap up, with my take on skincare and that is :
BE PATIENT, YOUR SKIN TOOK A WHILE TO DETERIORATE.
GIVE IT SOMETIME TO REFLECT A CALMER, INNER STATE.....
Ofcourse with the right kind of skincare products 😇
