There is a difference between bakuchiol and bakuchi oil. Do not confuse them with each other Bakuchiol is a chemical component found in the leaves and seeds of the babchi plant and is chemically extracted whereas Bakuchi oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the babchi plant that yields thick, viscous  brownish colored oil.  Although both are great for the skin but bakuchi oil doesn't have retinol like properties.
